// morsels of life //

enjoying this so-called life -- li'l by li'l, bit by bit...

christmas is so near!

last weekend, we spent our saturday afternoon watching the christmas parade sponsored by two of the biggest retail companies here, myer & david jones. we were like kids enjoying the mascots marching the street.

the care bears...

strawberry shortcake...

and homer was there! :) minus the rest of simpsons family...

of course, this parade ain't complete without santa claus.

then, together with our usual companions (the family: vincent, joni & their kid anya) we headed to melbourne central mall to stroll around.

here's me trying to fit a huge hat to my cute head, hehe. taken inside the nine west store.

then, we had dinner at tomodachi resto. it is known for their sushi train. we were seated infront of their sushi chefs that's why we were able to watch how they do it. the food and service were good. i enjoyed the beef teriyaki and we consumed three plates of different kinds of japanese deli.

the delicious beef teriyaki

each plate on the train has corresponding price depending how delectable the content is. so we're a bit conscious in picking 'cause we might end up having a very costly dinner, hehe.

the sushi train

tonton & vincent ordered the sake (japanese rice wine) which made them a bit dizzy, hehe. but i bet they enjoyed it. i heard the way they say "huuu!!!" each time they have a shot of it. for sure, we're gonna go back there to try something else naman :)

during the weekend, i got new dvds again. i picked "a lot like love" & "hostel". sunday was a typical market day for us. then, we came over to vincent & joni's place 'cause they prepared pancit & lumpiang shanghai for dinner. it was yummy :) we also had banana split for dessert. actually, i appreciate the hospitality they have shown during our first week here in melbourne. also, they let us stay in their place while we were looking for an apartment. i thank them for making us at home in their unit.

nway, till next post. gotta go.
