Finally! Got the spare time to blog once again. It's been a while since I wrote in this journal so it's time for updates.<br /><br />Anyway, since I became a working mom, my daily routine really did change. I got used to it already that I tend to be surprised whenever I have idle times.<br /><br />But I like how things are improving now. More dreams are gradually coming true :)<br />One of them is owning our first house here in Australia. Yes, we have recently purchased a place to live in!<br />I will tell the house purchase details soon as I don't want to put a jinx on it.<br />But so far, things are falling into place and we thank God for it :)hanamaruhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02832012288307389267noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35036881.post-11017367818419028632010-01-14T20:48:00.018+11:002010-01-14T21:38:31.921+11:00Working MomMy life as a mom has changed since Tuesday.<br />I am a working mother now.<br />The job opportunity that I've been waiting for so long came when I wasn't expecting it! :)<br /><br />I was hired by a web and graphic design company based in North Altona (20-30 minutes away from our place by public transport). They've been in the business for over 14 years.<br />My role is web programmer/designer. I will be handling some of their existing projects and hoping to get my hands on new projects as well.<br />I'm just grateful that they are willing to provide some training. Perhaps, a chance for me to prepare myself for the challenges of being in the IT workforce again.<br /><br />As for our schedule at home, we just have to manage our time nowadays. I admit that sending Lori to daycare every morning is dreadful for me. Not to mention that separation anxiety attacks me every now and then. God willing, Mama will be here on March to help us out.<br /><br />I believe in my heart, we'll get through this "big change" eventually.hanamaruhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02832012288307389267noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35036881.post-86431056013486489292010-01-04T10:41:00.011+11:002010-01-07T16:14:10.200+11:00Balikbayan 200936 days of catching up with our family and friends in the Philippines. But we took the day off to go to the Melbourne Zoo instead. The place is just few minutes drive from our place.<br />It was Lori's first visit to the zoo, so we're all very excited.<br />Packed some sandwiches, drinks and chips and off we went. </p><p align="left">First stop, Gorillas! It's really a nice thing to hear our little girl while she repeats the name of the animals she sees. She even took time to stop for a while and listen to birds chirping when we were at the Aviary area. Did not have the chance to take a glimpse of some animals (such as other big & small cats) as they were on "hibernation" (just had their lunch and sleeping). </p><p align="center"><a title="DSC_0110 by gr8hanamaru, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/annie-o-morasa/4071080683/"><img height="500" alt="DSC_0110" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2547/4071080683_e0f7bffe39.jpg" width="334" /></a></p><p align="center"></p><br /><p align="center"><a title="DSC_0394 by gr8hanamaru, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/annie-o-morasa/4071102245/"><img height="334" alt="DSC_0394" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2594/4071102245_16c733d991.jpg" width="500" /></a></p><br /><p align="center"></p><p align="center"><a title="DSC_0167 by gr8hanamaru, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/annie-o-morasa/4071025845/"><img height="334" alt="DSC_0167" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2783/4071025845_16b000e690.jpg" width="500" /></a></p><p align="center"><a title="DSC_0280 by gr8hanamaru, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/annie-o-morasa/4071858086/"><img height="334" alt="DSC_0280" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3506/4071858086_1bb4376b34.jpg" width="500" /></a></p><p align="left"><br /></p><p align="center"><a title="DSC_0152 by gr8hanamaru, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/annie-o-morasa/4071846164/"><img height="334" alt="DSC_0152" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2549/4071846164_2f01df44fb.jpg" width="500" /></a></p><p align="left">Before we head home, we took Lori to the zoo's play area. But we'd probably need to buy a helmet one of these days because I know sooner or later, this little girl will ask us (or at least give some signs) if she can drive her trikey in the yard.hanamaruhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02832012288307389267noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35036881.post-84837067665605192492009-07-19T22:49:00.020+10:002009-07-21T22:18:55.056+10:00UpdatesJust been occupied with my online course these past weeks.<br />I enrolled in a self-paced study that serves as a "refresher" for me.<br />I'm happy with what I've learned so far. Makes me more eager to plan ahead.<br /><br />I'm also taking driving lessons and aiming to obtain a Probationary licence soon.<br />In fact, my husband let me drive our car last Sunday which I think is a good sign, hehe.<br /><br />As for Lori, she will be 22 months this week.<br />I can't believe how fast she has grown. I don't even know how to keep track of her milestone already.<br />It seems like everyday, she develops some new good things in her.<br />One main thing, my daughter can recognize and recite 95% of the English alphabet! Amazing!<br />She also loves to hear stories. She can say few two-syllable words and very keen to learn more. Catching bubbles is her new hobby while shouting "BABU". Too cute! :)hanamaruhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02832012288307389267noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35036881.post-7264164050601596562009-06-17T10:15:00.003+10:002009-06-17T10:25:12.929+10:00Winter bonding<p align="center"><a title="DSC_0054 by gr8hanamaru, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/annie-o-morasa/3624666978/"><img height="334" alt="DSC_0054" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2463/3624666978_8388a43bbc.jpg" width="500" /></a></p><br /><br /><p align="center"><a title="DSC_0073 by gr8hanamaru, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/annie-o-morasa/3623855469/"><img height="334" alt="DSC_0073" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3365/3623855469_032af64bf7.jpg" width="500" /></a></p><br /><br /><p align="center"><a title="DSC_0419 by gr8hanamaru, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/annie-o-morasa/3624819444/"><img height="334" alt="DSC_0419" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3663/3624819444_9ebf15f459.jpg" width="500" /></a></p><br /><br /><p align="center"><a title="DSC_0369 by gr8hanamaru, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/annie-o-morasa/3624795682/"><img height="334" alt="DSC_0369" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3353/3624795682_aabf469694.jpg" width="500" /></a></p><br /><br /><p align="center"><a title="DSC_0443 by gr8hanamaru, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/annie-o-morasa/3624024843/"><img height="334" alt="DSC_0443" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3625/3624024843_cd7cecf5c5.jpg" width="500" /></a></p><br /><br /><p align="center"><a title="DSC_0157 by gr8hanamaru, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/annie-o-morasa/3623891925/"><img height="500" alt="DSC_0157" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3345/3623891925_67e123f2f5.jpg" width="334" /></a></p>Happy times!hanamaruhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02832012288307389267noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35036881.post-53698165947234307802009-06-14T10:08:00.012+10:002009-06-14T17:33:40.819+10:00Party at DaydreamersAttended Alex Caday's (the little girl with eyeglasses) birthday yesterday at <a href="http://www.daydreamers.com.au/www/index.htm">Daydreamers</a> in Windsor.<br /><br /><br />They have a function area for parties and nice play space too.<br /><br /><p align="center"><a title="IMG_0547 by gr8hanamaru, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/annie-o-morasa/3623840706/"><img height="281" alt="IMG_0547" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3318/3623840706_8cb2d6c9e1.jpg" width="500" /></a></p>Lori experienced to slide down a tall chute with her dad.<br /><br /><br /><p align="center"><a title="IMG_0563 by gr8hanamaru, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/annie-o-morasa/3623039111/"><img height="500" alt="IMG_0563" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2480/3623039111_b134167f25.jpg" width="281" /></a></p><br />I also accompanied Lori and had a go on the slide. The sound of the sea waves and swish of the shrubs made me feel that i'm so close to nature.<br /><br /></p><p align="center"><a title="DSC_0204 by gr8hanamaru, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/annie-o-morasa/3434590056/"><img height="334" alt="DSC_0204" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3569/3434590056_b47cdf55d0.jpg" width="500" /></a><br /></p><p align="center"><a title="DSC_0385 by gr8hanamaru, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/annie-o-morasa/3434599122/"><img height="334" alt="DSC_0385" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3634/3434599122_0eb6d65943.jpg" width="500" /></a></p><p align="left">GOR's sights and sounds are beyond words.<br />Two thumbs up! :)</p><p align="left">Bunch of photos <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/annie-o-morasa/sets/72157616572635125/">here</a>.</p><p align="left">Happy Easter everyone!</p>hanamaruhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02832012288307389267noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35036881.post-44697380126835256232009-03-20T15:50:00.022+11:002009-03-25T12:36:33.113+11:00Milestone at 18 months<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/annie-o-morasa/3356143138/"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316930136092162338" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 224px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgH9yU9kmSVQJIdwRnFAwSGDYMWljbTpuXkls9-rPMknmq0QwrDAWrjAZbWV-3y5NcJRywo4NiJM-RldyJCxpzZdc4xZWUFIusvu5dltRLJI5l5ZTbMUFjY1dKvDkthaE2d2IpOGQ/s400/IMG_6636.JPG" border="0" /></a>Lori is turning 1 1/2 years old on Monday. Here's a summary of the things she can do and loves to do now:<br /><br />* can walk like a pro...<br />* run as if she's always in a hurry...<br />* can say several words such as "mam", "dadi" & "dede"...<br />* first pair of lower molars appeared already...<br />* can wave goodbye...<br />* being clingy at times...<br />* throw her favorite ball (thankfully, just on the floor) and watch it bounce...<br />* loves to watch quiz shows, weather news, and anything with dancing kids...<br />* likes to see us applauding about something good she just did...<br />* loves to pretend (e.g. stomping like a dinosaur)...<br />* can recognize the letters "A, B, C"...<br />* can sip on a straw...<br />* gradually learning to drink from a cup...<br />* a veggie-eater now!<br /><br /><br />I read that most of the stuff on the list are just normal for her age so no need to bother at all. It's truly an accomplishment to know that nearly everything is on the right track. To cherish all the time I have now for my daughter, is certainly, the most right to do.hanamaruhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02832012288307389267noreply@blogger.com0
