enjoying this so-called life -- li'l by li'l, bit by bit...

fun weekend at frankston

last friday night, we went to a simple despedida party for our fellow pinoy friend, Eian. the party was held in Carrum suburb in Frankston, just 50-minute train trip from melbourne cbd.

we had a delightful dinner consisting of filipino food (shrimp hilabos, green mango salad w/ bagoong, salted egg w/ tomato -- to name a few) which i was craving for! the gathering was well-organized by Gina (Eian's girlfriend). the house which they rented for a week was so homely.

then around midnight, we decided to play Pictionary. we formed three teams which is composed of course of partners (per team) and we assigned Bianca (one of our accenture colleagues) as our moderator. Tonton and I won on the first round :-) then we decided to go to bed around 3am already as we have to wake up early to go to the beach.

then, the following morning we (me, Tonton & the Ibarra family) headed to the nearby beach. while Eian & Gina accompanied Bianca to the airport heading back to manila. the beach (which we called BonBeach because of its powdered-bone-like texture sand) was a 15-minute walk from the house. the weather was quite fine while we were on our way.

but after 30-minutes (when we finally found a spot to set-up our beach mats and enjoying the beach already), the rain suddenly poured so hard. luckily, we were able to use the mats to cover ourselves and took shelter at one of the few bathing houses along the shore.

we just decided to go back to the house and while we were on our way back, Tonton and I noticed the pairs of footprint in the sand we have created during the walk and took a shot of it (katuwa eh!).

then when we arrived at the house, Eian & Gina were there already with another couple Bong & Anne. we had one more round of "salo-salo" and a very enjoyable chat. and since we did not enjoy much of the beach, we just had a relaxing bask on the backyard jacuzzi. i just had a very short (10 minutes) bath because i was too cautious with my body temperature. i read that extreme body temperature is bad for pregnant woman 'cause it may harm the baby.

well, we really had great time! thanks Eian & Gina, sa uulitin :-)
